From zero to one：One machine can produce multiple types of products flexibly
Irobot was established in 2012, from a small workshop with a few people in the past to the top three market share of automatic production lines for cookware in the country. Its story starts with a machine called "Standard Drawing System".
This machine is the first step of the entire automatic production line for pots and pans. After the metal materials are placed in the machine, it will complete the process steps of the pots and pans from disc separating, oiling, drawing, and manufacturing according to relevant setting requirements.
In the past, the above processes in the industry were mainly completed by manual labor. In 2012,Irobot successfully developed a standard drawing system, which achieved the first step of replacing manual labor with machines. It can also achieve flexible production of different models through a single machine, making operation more convenient, "said Nongbaile,the chairman of Irobot.
It is not easy to achieve "foolproof" intelligent production.Taking the oiling process as an example, as oiling can effectively get cooling, lubrication, protection, and other functions during the metal drawing process, this step is also a necessary step to complete the subsequent manufacturing. At the same time, the corresponding oil coating thickness varies among different typies of products, and there are also different requirements for the rotational speed and material of the rollers. To overcome this challenge, irobot underwent multiple adjustments and ultimately selected rollers of different materials for different materials,and set the speed of two sets of rollers as required to achieve the best oiling state, laying the foundation for subsequent production.
However, in 2014, this product entered the Yangtze River Delta for the first time, but due to the low winter temperature, there was a dilemma where the oil solidified and subsequent operations could not be achieved.

In addition to continuous innovation in the oiling process, Irobot has also carried out multiple "zero to one" innovations in material thickness identification, such as the automatic adaptationn in different size & typies of materials. Nowadays, Irobot continuously increased its efforts in independent innovation and gradually achieved automation in various subsequent links, such as sanding, packaging, and warehousing. It was the first in the industry to achieve whole-line automatic production for cookware, becoming a top-rank supplier for cookware enterprises such as Midea, Supor, Philips,WMF, Fissler Zwiiling...etc. Irobot also promoted the automatic production line for cookware to go abroad and export to countries such as Vietnam, India, and Egypt.
